Opportunities in the Diocese of Evansville
Siena
For Young Women ages 13-18 After the success of the Savio program for boys in our diocese, five young adult women asked, “Can we start a sisterhood like Savio for girls?” Siena was born. Named after the virgin Doctor of the Church, Siena gathers middle school and high school girls together to live the motto of Saint Catherine of Siena, “Be who God created you to be, and you will set the world on fire.” If you have a desire for Virtue, Community, Growth and Love, join us! https://www.evansvillevocations.org/siena |
Savio
For Young Men ages 13-18 In the mid-1800’s, Father John Bosco knew that the heart of every young man beats for greatness. He began a school for guys in the city of Turin, Italy. Hundreds gathered there to learn, pray, play, and grow as young men. Nearby in a small, country town, Dominic Savio asked his parents if he could join the brotherhood. Dominic knew God was calling, and Fr. Bosco and the Turin oratory would be the best place he could grow in his faith and discern his vocation. More than 150 years later in Evansville, we are doing the same thing. Dozens of young men gather both at the House of Discernment and at St. Mary in Dubois County under the patronage of St. Dominic Savio. If you are longing for more than this world offers, join us. It is the best Catholic brotherhood around. https://www.evansvillevocations.org/savio |

Sacramental preparation is also part of the Religion curriculum. Second grade students are prepared for the reception of Reconciliation and First Eucharist.
