Welcome to Kindergarten
Curriculum:
Kindergarten is such an exciting and important time for your child. During this school year students will get the chance to explore many new things while learning academic, social, and emotional skills.
In our classroom we will facilitate learning through hands-on, engaging experiences in subjects of Reading/Language Arts (letters, sounds, and learning to read!), Writers Workshop, Math, Science, Social Studies, STEM, and Religion.
We will learn how to be respectful and responsible in our classroom as well as the importance of living Christlike and serving others through our service projects.
Kindergarten will also have the opportunity to travel to other parts of the school building throughout the day for Music, Art, P.E., Computer Lab, and Library. We will also attend Mass twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I believe in setting high expectations for all students so that each child can succeed in being the best student they can be!
Teacher Bio:
Hello! My name is Mrs. Jennifer Holder! I began teaching Kindergarten at Saint Wendel in 2016. I live in Haubstadt with my husband, Grant, and our two dogs, Briley and Barkley. We are parishioners at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort
Branch. In my free time I enjoy traveling, cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with my family.
Teaching Kindergarten at Saint Wendel is a true passion of mine because I get the opportunity to watch children learn and grow both academically and spiritually. Witnessing the success of my students inspires and motivates me to be the best teacher I can be. I love being able to serve the students and community of Saint Wendel!
Teacher Bio:
Hello! My name is Mrs. Sarah Seng. This is my second year teaching and I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten here at Saint Wendel. I live on the Westside of Evansville with my husband, Wyatt, our son, Weston, and our two dogs, Beane and Mack. We are expecting our second child this fall! We are parishioners at Saint Boniface Catholic Church. I coach junior varsity softball at Mater Dei High School and love spending my free time with my family and friends, being outdoors, playing games, and watching college football and softball. I am so happy to be here at Saint Wendel, helping my students to learn and grow in their faith and academics this year!
