Curriculum:
Kindergarten is such an exciting and important time for your child. During this school year students will get the chance to explore many new things while learning academic, social, and emotional skills.
In our classroom we will facilitate learning through hands-on, engaging experiences in subjects of Reading/Language Arts (letters, sounds, and learning to read!), Writers Workshop, Math, Science, Social Studies, STEM, and Religion.
We will learn how to be respectful and responsible in our classroom as well as the importance of living Christlike and serving others through our service projects.
Kindergarten will also have the opportunity to travel to other parts of the school building throughout the day for Music, Art, P.E., Computer Lab, and Library. We will also attend Mass twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I believe in setting high expectations for all students so that each child can succeed in being the best student they can be!

Hello! I'm Mrs. Jennifer Holder.
I have had the joy of teaching Kindergarten at Saint Wendel Catholic School since 2016. I live in Haubstadt with my husband, Grant, and our two children, Alston and Lydia. We are parishioners at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch.
When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy traveling, trying new recipes, spending time outdoors, and making memories with my family.
Teaching Kindergarten at Saint Wendel is truly a blessing and a passion of mine. There is nothing more rewarding than watching children grow academically, socially, and spiritually throughout the school year. I love helping my students build confidence, discover a love of learning, and develop a strong foundation rooted in faith. Seeing their excitement, growth, and accomplishments inspires me every day and motivates me to be the best teacher I can be. It is an honor to serve the students and families of the Saint Wendel community, and I look forward to creating a joyful, faith-filled classroom where every child feels loved, supported, and encouraged to succeed.

Hi! My name is Mrs. Courtney Bittner. I went to Purdue University to get my bachelors degree in Special and Elementary Education and have been teaching since 2017. I have taught 2nd grade, special education, and Kindergarten. My heart is truly with Kindergarten because I love to see such tremendous growth and confidence in each child academically and spiritually!
I have a husband, two kids, and a dog. I am very close to my family and love spending time with them! Outside of that I enjoy reading, crocheting, and doing puzzles. My family and I are parishioners of Saint Wendel and I am so excited to come back to my roots again and teach Kindergarten at Saint Wendel!
